Marbleized Cups

You probably saw my nail tip on marbleizing. Well, I found out that you can also marbleize your glasses as well. So I decided to give it a try and this is what I came up with....

What you need:

  1. Nail polish (in any color you want to use)
  2. Water
  3. A container for the water
  4. Toothpick or knife
  5. Paper Towel
  6. Tape

What you do:

1. Tape the outside bottom of the cup (so that the paint does not get on the sides)

2. Next, pour the water into the container (amount is not important)

3. Then drop in a few drops of several different nail polishes

4.Use the knife or toothpick to mix up the paints to get the desired look. You can make flowers and different designs but remember to move the knife gently so as not to make a mess.

5. After that, take the glass and dip it in the water (do not dip it farther then the tape)

6. Place the cup, upside down on the towel to dry.

7. After about 30 minutes (or when the nail polish is dry) remove the tape

8. Finally use a clear top coat.
