Faith Jumping

One night a house caught fire and a young boy was forced to flee to the roof. The father stood on the ground below with outstretched arms, calling to his son, "Jump! I'll catch you." He knew the boy had to jump to save his life. All the boy could see, however, was flame, smoke, and blackness. As can be imagined, he was afraid to leave the roof. His father kept yelling: "Jump! I will catch you." But the boy protested, "Daddy, I can't see you." The father replied, "But I can see you and that's all that matters."
The Christian faith enables us to face life or meet death, not because we can see, but with the certainty that we are seen; not that we know all the answers, but that we are known. -Donner Atwood.

2 Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith and not by sight" In Matthew 14 - Jesus bid Peter to come unto him. To walk on the water.
"And he (JESUS) said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus."
Peter had the faith to get out of the boat, but then started to fear and thus started to sink
"And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?"
God saw Peter the whole time. He sees us the "whole time" too. In fact he says "Come" to Him. He even reaches out to us and gives us a way, through Jesus. We just have to have faith to take that step, to get out of the boat, to JUMP.
