Many of us LOVE the idea but we are not always able to make it happen in our own family. BUT, what if you were able to help make it happen in someone else's family?
Before we were married, my husband and I attended and served in a church in Oak Ridge, TN. While we were there we met a beautiful family named the Walters. At that time, they helped head up the children's program. Since then they have been blessed to adopt a little Down Syndrome boy from Russia and they are now trying to adopt a little girl from China. Their announcement is below...
Once again, our Abba Father has given us a love for a child we've never met and who lives far across the oceans...
We are going to Asia!
You can read our announcement on Reece's Rainbow here.
Connie will be 10 years old this year and she understands that she is an orphan and she is ASKING for a "family of her own"! God heard her plea and we can hardly wait to be the family He chose for her!
We are just at the beginning of the adoption journey, and we've been told to expect a 10-12 month process. I (Vashti) plan to update this blog as we make progress. We covet your prayers!

You may not be able to adopt a child, but maybe you can give $5 or more to help the Walters save this child and bring her home. Click here to donate. - Rejoicing in the present
