EASY TRUFFLES

I am sitting here eating Ghirardelli chocolate and looking at truffle recipes. What is wrong with me?!? :-)   I found a couple different recipes -- they all look super-easy and super-yummy.  Here are my two favorite.  If you have any others, leave a comment below.

This is from Parnell's Pantry...

What you need:
  1. 18 oz. chocolate chips(semi-sweet or milk,or a combination,it's your choice)
  2. 1 14oz. can of sweetened condensed milk
  3. 1 tsp. vanilla
  4. optional toppings such as sprinkles, nuts, coconut, etc.

What to do:
  1. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk, stirring occasionally until smooth.
  2. Let the mixture cool,
  3. Then refrigerate for at least one hour or until it's hard enough to roll
  4. Remove the mixture from the refrigerator, and roll into balls.  Immediately roll into your topping of choice.
  5.  If you are not serving immediately, keep refrigerated.
***Again, the chocolate mixture may be melted using a microwave, but I prefer a double boiler.

I HAVE TRIED THIS RECEIPE (ABOVE) and it IS EASY AND SUPPPPPPER YUMMY!!!!

This is from Pillsbury

What you need:

  1. 2 cups (12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  2. 1 teaspoon orange extract
  3. 1 (16 oz.) can Pillsbury® Creamy Supreme® Chocolate Fudge Flavored Frosting

What you do:
  1. Melt chocolate chips in medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly; remove from heat.
  2. Stir in orange extract and frosting; blend well.
  3. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours or until firm.
  4. Place each coating in its own pie pan.
  5. Scoop mixture into 1-inch balls; drop onto coating (mixture will be sticky).
  6. Roll to coat.
  7. Place in foil candy cups, if desired.
  8. Store in refrigerator.
